JAMAIN SOCIAL AND SERVICES SRL (the COMPANY or just "we" or "us") is committed to protect the privacy of our customers. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect and how we may use it on JAMAIN platform (or the SERVICES) throughout all available devices (web sites, mobile apps, etc.).

This privacy policy was written according to the Italian law 196/2003 referring users personal data treatment ("Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali").  The company JAMAIN SOCIAL AND SERVICES SRL – VAT IT07990800968 – Viale Vittorio Veneto 18, 20124 Milan ITALY, is responsible for your data treatment.

.1 Basic terms

For a proper understanding this Privacy Policy you should to be familiar with the following terms that refers to specific functions of the service:

General terms:

  • USER: you, as a human being accessing the platform, are intended as a USER of the service;
  • PERSONAL ACCOUNT: every user accessing the platform is given an account composed of username and password that are granting access to a personal business environment.
  • WORKSPACE:  users can create "business environment" for their organizations. For the sake of simplicity the term WORKSPACES (alone) will refer in the following both to organizational workspaces and personal accounts.
  • OWNERSHIP: any content transferred to the platform belongs to a workspace (e.g. a workspace projects or activities lists). Every workspace belongs to a user. As a default a workspace belongs to the user that created it. It is under development a specific function aimed to allow a transfer of organizational workspace ownership.

Platform functions:

  • Registration: is the processes you must use to gain access to JAMAIN platform;
  • Business functions: JAMAIN platform  provides functions to automate accounting and/or other business processes such as project-management, timesheet management, invoicing.
  • Workspace sharing: workspaces can be shared among users. If you share your workspace to another user you grant access to the information stored in your workspaces and you share the capability to act on your behalf in your workspace functions. The user you grant can further share your workspace to other users. If you are asked to share a workspace you have the possibility accept (join) or decline (refuse). If you have accepted to share a workspace you can at any time suspend this sharing (disjoin). All above-mentioned functions can be managed through the workspace panel.
  • Messaging and other W2W workflows (workspace to workspace workflows): users can share information among workspaces. This information can be a simple messages or more structured business data messages (that is messages including information related with business functions). Messaging may also include specific features to automate business workflows among users and/or workspaces.  
  • Public page: every account and every workspace may have a Public Page (elsewhere also called Public profile) containing information that refers to the specific workspace. The public page is composed of single components. The user that is owner or shared admin of the workspace have full control on information published in the public page and can enable/disable the whole page or single components.
  • Feedback and comments: feedback and comments are speci
  • Contribute other workspace: under specific circumstances and for specific processes you can ask other users to contribute to your workspace and conversely you can be asked to contribute to other’s workspaces (e.g. by filling timesheets that belongs to workspaces you do not own). By doing so you understand that the content produced belongs to the target workspace and hence can be freely manipulated by the workspace owner and the workspace sharing users.
  • Directory Search: Jamain Platform will include a directory search mechanism. Search will refer to all public content you will accept to publish in your Public Page.
  • Surveys: Jamain Platform will collect data for aggregate surveys.

2. Why we collect data

Jamain is and internet based business platform. We collect data of users who access the platform and other services related with the Internet domain in order to establish your account with us and provide you the services (see "SERVICES" from Terms & Services).

3. What information we collect and how it is used

We collects personal information from users including (at a minimum) first and last names, an email address to be used as a login and a password, location, time zone, currency  as well as comments and feedbacks on blog postings and directory search inquires.

Email address supplied at registration is verified through and activation process.
Paid services require the us to collect billing information and a credit card number which will also be verified to ensure it is accurate.
Your email address may be used to send you periodic product newsletters, offers and usage tips from the COMPANY.

We use the collected information to deliver services, process payments, update our records, communicate with you about products and services, and generally maintain your accounts with us. Because of our commitment to present the best possible product to all our users, we track the category of services selected by our individual users as well as all information pertaining to user satisfaction. To ensure the quality of our product, we reserve the right to maintain evaluation and feedback records.

Business functions are core components of Jamain SERVICE. Information that is collected by our Services is considered confidential Business Information. Business Information includes projects lists, activities lists, invoice and costs lists and any other business information you provided when using the Services.

Business information is stored in order to provide you the business functions related with the service. We may also use your business information in aggregate manner in order to provide business surveys (e.g. average rating in a specific region) in way that cannot be directly related to any single user.

Business information may also be used to support the Service, for the purpose of anticipating, diagnosing, supporting or resolving any problems that might limit or disrupt the quality of our customers’ service experience or as required by law.

You should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit to your workspace profile can be read, collected or used by others who share the same workspace(s) as you. You should be aware that information you insert in workspaces that belongs to others can be freely manipulated by the other workspaces’ owners and shared admins.

The COMPANY refers to partners to in order to complete specific tasks related with its business, including IT Maintenance or development, marketing, advertisement. Partners may be given access to your data in order to complete specific tasks on the COMPANY behalf. Partners are all asked to behave in accordance to this privacy agreement.

To maintain our quality of service and to assist in the analysis of product performance, we may also gather data on connection information, including number and timing of you logins. The gathered information is used only to ensure the highest quality experience possible when using the service.

We also collect certain standard information about your computer for security and identification purposes. This information may include: IP addresses, domain names, access times, cookies and other unique identifying information of machines that have our software downloaded and installed on them. This information is used for the operation of the service, to identify and protect our customers and to control unauthorized use or abuse of our services. All information is encrypted during transmission and is stored securely within our servers.

We continuously improve our websites and utilize different web analytic tools to help us do so, such as cookies and web beacons. We are interested in how visitors use our websites, what they like and dislike, and where they have problems. We also use web analytic tools on our mobile applications to help gather non-personally identifiable data about download and application usage. In our use of web analytics we do collect GeoLocation data, but it is only on an aggregate basis and not tied to any individual. These tools may be provided by third parties in order to assist us in collecting the information.

A cookie is a small data file that certain websites write to your hard drive when you visit them. We use cookies to track user traffic patterns, to hold certain session-related data, to suggest specific values (e.g. in filters) during your navigation based on choices you had taken before. In some circumstances, these cookies enable you to enter Jamain sites without having to log on each time. We do not store passwords or any Personal Information about you in the cookies.

Our Site includes Social Media Features, such as the Facebook Like button and Facebook Connect. These Features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the Feature to function properly. These services will also authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain personal information with us such as your name and email address to pre-populate our sign up form. Services like Facebook Connect give you the option to post information about your activities on this Site to your profile page to share with others within your network. Your interactions with these Features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing them.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

All above mentioned privacy terms represent the COMPANY intended behave toward you and your data. Please consider this statement is part of the service Terms of Services agreement you can find on the website having specific mention of Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability that will apply in case of events that are different by the intended behave described in this document.

5. Modification

The COMPANY reserves the right to update and change the Privacy Policy any time without notice. Any new features that augment or enhance the current Service, including the release of new tools and resources, shall be subject to the Privacy Policy. Continued use of the Service after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.
